In the aftermath of that flooding\, Maine Monitor reporter Emmett Gartner traveled across the state to report on how effectively communities weathered the storms\, speaking with local officials about their plans to fortify their towns against the rising seas and more frequent\, intensifying storms brought on by climate change. Join Emmett at the University of Maine’s Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions on April 21 at 3PM as he discusses his reporting on the challenges Maine faces in building resilience to flooding and what solutions exist at the state and local levels to prepare Maine for what’s to come.
