Established in 1962, the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG) is a regional planning agency serving the Western Maine communities of Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford Counties. Planning and municipal services are in four targeted areas: economic development, land use planning, transportation planning and environmental management. AVCOG provides regional support for Maine’s Community Resilience Partnership.
